My Background

I have over 6 years of experience working in crisis intervention within community mental health. I have worked with a variety of populations (incarcerated, low-income, people of color, older adults, inner city adolescents, and LBGTQIA).
I have always had an interest in what drives human behavior. This has since evolved into a deeper appreciation of its complexities of contributing factors that help shape these behaviors. In a world filled with endless responsibilities, expectations, and distractions it is easy to feel overwhelmed, burnt out at times and even disconnected from ourselves. Therapy can be a great place to help clients reconnect with the core of who they are, to renew a sense of purpose, and motivation that can lead to change and continued growth.

Client Driven Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic approach is more integrative and client driven. I practice from a trauma-informed lens and primarily focus on the use of Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. I like to use creative techniques that are unique, meaningful, and make sense for my clients. I think tapping into our creativity has a profound effect on self-esteem and self-expression. I have particular interests in helping clients to rediscover their values, strengths, boundaries, and spirituality. I work with clients on a variety of issues including relationships, self-esteem, life transitions, burnout, anxiety, and depression.
