My Background

Ashlin Kamoe is a graduate of The University of Chicago Crown School of Social Work, Policy and Practice. During her time as a graduate student she was a live-in dorm mentor for undergraduate students and enjoys working with emerging adults. Ashlin is also a certified conflict mediator and holds a Master of Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine Law School. She has worked extensively on multi party conflicts with couples and families both as a mediator and therapist.

Ashlin believes you are the expert of your own experience, and therapy is one way to navigate the joys and challenges of life. She works with people who are embarking on a path of healing, self discovery and growth. She strives to facilitate an experience that is trauma informed, non-judgemental, compassionate, and evidence-based. Ashlin works with individuals, couples and children. She is passionate about increasing access to mental health care. Her approach to therapy is rooted in mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
