My Background

Kassie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in supporting young and emerging adults through some of life’s most complex and overwhelming challenges. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Human Services from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin, and later completed her Master’s in Social Work at Loyola University Chicago, focusing on clinical mental health. Kassie’s path into the field was shaped by her deep passion for healing and advocacy, which has been with her from a young age. She has worked across diverse settings—including level-one trauma centers, schools, and IOP/PHP programs—each experience strengthening her belief that therapy can be a powerful space for connection, resilience, and growth.

Kassie works with clients navigating complex trauma, substance use and addiction, mood disorders, attachment and relationship challenges, and struggles with body image and self-worth. She also has a strong interest in supporting clients during life transitions and identity development, particularly young adults working to find a sense of confidence, self-compassion, and direction. Her therapeutic style is collaborative, authentic, and warm—often blending humor, curiosity, and honesty with practical skill-building and reflective work. She tailors her approach to each client, drawing from trauma-informed, evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Whether it’s practicing new coping skills, processing past experiences, or breaking down overwhelming stressors into manageable steps, sessions with Kassie are designed to empower clients to feel seen, supported, and capable of meaningful change.

At the core of her work, Kassie believes that healing begins when people feel safe enough to connect—with themselves, with others, and with their values. She sees her role as helping clients build trust in themselves, strengthen their relationships, and create lives that feel more grounded, intentional, and fulfilling.

Outside of the office, Kassie enjoys hiking and exploring new trails, visiting national parks, and spending time with friends and family. At home, you can usually find her listening to records, cooking, or playing board games. Her sweet dog, Keera, is often by her side and occasionally makes a cameo in virtual sessions.
