My Background
My interest in human behavior led me to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Colorado, followed by a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the criminal justice system as a probation officer, where I conducted individual intakes with people recently released on parole. That experience gave me a deeper understanding of trauma, resilience, and the ways our environments and experiences can shape how we move through the world. It ultimately led me to pursue a career in therapy. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with additional training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed care, and working with neurodivergent minds, particularly ADHD.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, major life transitions, OCPD, ADHD, and men’s issues. I help people identify and break patterns that keep them stuck, acknowledge and challenge the thoughts and beliefs driving those patterns, and build a life that feels more authentic.
My style as a therapist is warm, collaborative, and direct. Sessions often include a mix of deeper reflection, practical strategies, curiosity, and humor. My approach draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic therapy while remaining trauma-informed and centered around the individual person in front of me. I tailor therapy to each client rather than expecting everyone to respond to the same approach.
