Medication Management
My Background
As a prescriber, I want to work with each patient individually to create a treatment plan that is customized to each person’s unique needs. I have always taken a holistic, patient-centered approach to medicine and want my patients to feel like they have a say in their treatment. I never want to make anyone feel like their voice isn’t being heard or that medication is being thrust upon them. Medication management is a decision that is made together and meant to help the work being completed through therapy. I will always take preferences and apprehensions into consideration before suggesting any new treatment options. Above all else, safety is my number one priority.
I graduated in 2014 with my Master’s in Nursing from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Ca. I completed my Family Nurse Practitioner post-master’s certification in 2019 from Olivet Nazarene University. I am completing my Doctorate in Leadership at Bradley University with an emphasis on mental health. I hold certifications in Mental health First aid and serious mental illness from the ECHO program from University of Chicago. I have experience working on the West side of Chicago at a Federally Qualified Health Center in primary care and I have worked at a clinic that supports the LGBTQ+ community through prescribing HRT and gender affirming care. I was drawn to medicine at an early age due to illness and mental health complexities in my family. I know what it’s like to see someone struggle with depression, body dysmorphia, intrusive thoughts, imposter syndrome, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, and ADHD. I am passionately dedicated to helping patients overcome anything that prevents them from being their most authentic selves.
