My Background

Hi, I’m Vasoula! I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialize in working with individuals and couples who are navigating life transitions, encountering intimacy-related concerns, coping with anxiety, and are seeking to reconnect with themselves and their partners. My clinical interests also include women’s issues relating to fertility, postpartum, and parenting. My collaborative approach aims to nurture an environment that promotes safety, curiosity, and creativity. I am committed to helping couples and individuals develop a deeper understanding of their own needs, and supporting them in reaching their goals.

A quick synopsis about my professional past: I received my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University in 2021. Prior to that, I worked as an elementary school teacher for eight years while also running a children’s nonprofit organization promoting nutrition and developing healthy habits. I have had a deep interest in connecting with others and hearing their stories for as long as I can remember. At Northwestern University, I worked with a diverse population of people in a therapeutic setting, helping them to develop a better understanding of their own needs and emotional experiences, and supporting them along their therapeutic journeys.

I was trained in Integrative Systemic Therapy, an approach that pulls from an eclectic array of modalities depending on each client’s individualized needs. My strong belief that every person is the expert of their own life and that each individual has their own unique experience truly guides the way that I approach the therapeutic relationship with my clients. I look forward to meeting you virtually!
